When away from work, I am seeking out the riches of the Northwest. I enjoy hiking, climbing, and swimming. I love to learn about PNW ecology.

As a lifelong learner, I often find myself lost in books or podcasts. From time to time, I will even reach for a worn and tattered copy of one of Bill Waterson’s numerous volumes of Calvin and Hobbs. Occasionally, I’ll pick up a paintbrush, marker, or even a ukulele.

I acknowledge my privilege in the world as a straight, cis-gendered man of European descent. I also acknowledge that I reside and work on Duwamish land. I believe that acknowledging these facts and how they impact others and myself creates a better opportunity for me to engage others in light of cultural, historical, and political power structures.
